Permanent Supportive Housing

Lifelong housing options for men and women with lifelong disabling behavioral health conditions at risk of becoming homeless.

  • Address: 429 Denver Street, Salt Lake City, UT 84102
  • Units: 75 one-bedroom apartments (9 ADA accessible), fully furnished
  • Amenities: Community room, computer lab, exercise room, free laundry, library
  • Lease: 1-year lease, renewable; lifetime eligibility if qualifications continue
  • Rent: 30% of income or $25/month minimum; $700 deposit; all utilities included
  • Population: Single adults with PSH need, high mental health service use, SMI diagnosis, Optum Legacy Medicaid, homeless status, <30% AMI
  • Services: Individual/group therapy, peer support, case management, employment support, 24-hour staff, transportation, recovery meetings (voluntary)

  • Units: 40 one-bedroom apartments (7 ADA), fully furnished

  • Population: Single adults with PSH need, substance use disorder, disability, homeless status, <30% AMI
  • Services (Mon–Fri, 8–5): Counseling, groups, peer support, case management, employment, recovery planning

Deeply Affordable Housing

Affordable housing units throughout the Salt Lake Valley for individuals and families at risk of homelessness. Our partners own the buildings, and First Step House provides housing case management for tenants.

  • Capacity: 5 units case managed by First Step House
  • Eligibility: First Step House units are designated for seniors 62+ under 25% AMI with experience of homelessness. Preference given to veterans. Rental costs are income dependent.
