Floater Clinical Therapist

As a Floater Clinical Therapist at First Step House, you'll work alongside multidisciplinary teams serving individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use disorders, homelessness, and other complex challenges. Rather than being assigned to one location, you'll provide clinical support wherever it's needed most, giving you the opportunity to work with a wide variety of clients, programs, and treatment teams while expanding your clinical skills.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

As a Floater Clinical Therapist, you'll provide comprehensive behavioral health services while supporting multiple First Step House programs throughout Salt Lake Valley.

Your responsibilities include:

• Conducting comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and diagnostic interviews.
• Developing individualized treatment plans and updating assessments as clients' needs change.
• Providing individual therapy, clinical interventions, and case management services within your scope of practice.
• Collaborating with physicians, case managers, peer support specialists, and community partners to coordinate care.
• Completing admissions, transfers, and other clinical documentation accurately and on time.
• Utilizing ASAM Criteria to determine appropriate levels of care and treatment recommendations.
• Maintaining timely documentation and billing within the electronic health record.
• Building therapeutic relationships while navigating the unique needs of each program you support.
• Providing high-quality clinical care while helping teams maintain continuity during staffing transitions or periods of increased need.

WHAT YOU BRING

Education & Licensure

• Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, or a related behavioral health field.
• Active Utah licensure as one of the following:
• MSW, CSW, LCSW, ACMHC, CMHC, LMFT
• Experience providing mental health and/or substance use disorder treatment preferred.
